TRIBUTE TO FILIPINOS OVERSEAS

The beneficial impact of overseas employment to our economy and development is fully acknowledged by the entire Filipino nation. We shall forever be grateful to our fellow Filipinos who have sacrificed so much and worked hard to make sure that they are able to provide for their families and loved ones in the Philippines. Their contribution to the Philippines is so invaluable that they are known as "mga bagong bayani". They adopt to foreign cultures, learn their languages, and at times, endure the wrath and abuses of their employers. From the practical point of view, they infuse billions of dollars into the Philippine economy annually. They come as OFWs, balikbayans, or as returning residents who have decided to retire by putting up businesses in the country. Obviously, they are the most productive and progressive block of Filipinos that made a difference in saving our country from the economic meltdown of the '80s as well as other crisis, global or local. They do make a difference and continue to do so. Mabuhay kayo !
